The Rehearsal will be held Friday evening at 6 p.m. at Westlake United Methodist Church (click on “Getting There” to retrieve a map). The Rehearsal Dinner is immediately following the rehearsal (6:45-ish) at the Serrano’s at Symphony Square. The restaurant is located at 1111 Red River and we’ll have maps available at the church. Parking can be found at metered spots on the streets; there’s also a small parking lot across from the restaurant that is free. When you arrive at Serrano’s, ask for the Mercantile Room. We’ll be eating fajitas, so you may not want Mexican food for lunch. Then again, in Texas, we eat Mexican food for most of our meals... On Saturday, enjoy the sights around town OR come out to Zilker Clubhouse and help us decorate for the reception. It’s the best view in town... The Wedding Ceremony begins at 7 p.m.; wedding party and immediate family members should arrive at the church around 5:30 p.m. Weather permitting, we will take MOST of our family shots out at Zilker with the Austin skyline behind us, but parents and siblings should stick around right after the ceremony for a few quick shots. On Sunday, if you’re able to stay in town for a couple of hours, we’ll be meeting at the Threadgill’s Gospel Brunch around 10:15 a.m. This is a BYOB (Buy Your Own Bacon) event; adult buffets are $8.95 and children are $4.95. |
